Gorgeous hardy annual, glamorous and full of sophistication, yet sits well in a cottage garden too. Deadheading will encourage further flowering.

Sow Seeds: Late summer-late April, direct sow: September/October or April, prefers recently disturbed soil with good drainage. Scatter seeds sparingly into moist soil and cover them with a very light layer of earth. Thin to 20 cm apart as seedlings grow. Or sow indoors autumn or spring into moist seed compost and cover with a light layer of compost. Transplant seedlings when they are large enough to handle in 8cm pots.  Germination takes 10–30 days, prefers partial shade and deadhead regularly
Plant Out: Acclimatise before planting outside after the last frosts.
