The Magnolia Blossom Pea brings together beauty and flavor in one outstanding plant! This sugar snap pea is an open-pollinated variety that produces loads of crunchy green pods that have a fresh, sweet flavor. But perhaps the best part about this plant is that it also produces edible tendrils that taste just like peas and gorgeous bi-color flowers for a colorful pop in your garden. Loads of tendrils actually help the plant as it grows to fight diseases by providing better airflow to the plant. The Magnolia Blossom Pea has very sturdy vines that will grow between 5′-8′ tall and is a favorite among gardeners for its vigor and productivity throughout the season. We recommend planting Sugar Snap Pea using a walk-behind planter like our Hoss Garden Seeder. Use a #5 seed plate, but always check the hole size and modify it if necessary. We recommend installing the trellis before planting. English peas perform very well when planted on double rows, with one row on each side of the trellis. This will allow you to maximize garden space, maximize the trellis, and produce more vegetables per square foot of the garden. English peas should be harvested when pods reach about 3-4″ in length and are full and plump.
