Hugely popular with gardeners and florists alike, if you haven’t grown Café au Lait before, you really must! The large and luxurious blooms are an exquisite cream, flushed with pink when they first open and as their names suggests, fade to a darker, creamy-coffee colour as they age.
The most favoured dahlia for bridal bouquets due to their magnificent size, incredible petal structure and gorgeous colour(s).
For a quick and easy arrangement, two or three blooms in a jam jar on the kitchen windowsill can look surprisingly effective.
Great value, dahlias make excellent cut flowers and they more you cut the more flowers they produce. Plus at the end of the season tubers can either be lifted and stored or given a deep mulch to preserve them overwinter before starting again the following year.
